The International Centre for Archival Research (ICARUS) is an international network of commemorative institutions based in Central Europe. ICARUS aims to meets the challenges that archives are facing today as a result of the ongoing changes in society, economy and technology.
The Monasterium Project collects historical documents about Europe’s political, economic and cultural developments from the Middle Ages onward and provides free access to their digital copies. This online portal consists of more than 500.000 medieval and early modern charters provided by close to 60 institutions from 10 European countries. Check out the virtual archive here!
