The index created in Microsoft Word is output with a hyperlink to go to the mark entry position.
The Microsoft Word function does not allow links to be set up to the mark entry position in the index text, but our unique analysis process allows hyperlinks to be set up and output when converting to HTML.
You can quickly find the desired description by clicking on the link mark of the text you want to find in the index and navigating to the corresponding section in the text. This is very useful in manuals and instructions.
Index function is set in the user's manual of the product.
Note 1: The output of hyperlinks in the index does not require optional parameters to be specified.
Note 2: Indexes are only supported for indexes marked in the ‘Mark Entry’ of the Word ribbon ‘References’.
Note 3: Indexes that have been marked and manually edited or created in ‘fields’ are not supported.
Conversion of footnotes inserted on Microsoft Word is now supported. The display method can be specified in the options settings. Note that endnotes are supported from previous versions.
Footnotes inserted in Word are output to HTML in the same way as in Word, with hyperlinks set to the reference marks in the footnote so that they can be clicked on to go to the relevant footnote.
Note: As the concept of a ‘page’ differs between Word documents and HTML, this product outputs footnotes at the end of the HTML text (or at the end of the text in the last HTML file if the HTML is split into separate HTML files).
If footnotes are to display at the end of the text, you can specify how to output the boundaries between the text and the footnote.
By default, boundaries are output as <hr> tags.
If the “-customSep” option is specified, you can output a string or table of edited boundaries in Word or delete the boundaries.
Note: If the “-customSep” option is specified, the same output is used for the endnote boundaries.
You can display the footnote text as a tooltip by specifying the option. Just hover the mouse cursor over the footnote reference mark to display it, allowing you to see the description or other information on the spot without having to move around the page or within the page.
When a target frame is specified for a hyperlink and inserted in Word, it can now be output as the “target” attribute of the HTML hyperlink.
