Linux Image Output Support

Image output (JPEG / PNG / TIFF / MTIFF) is supported in the Linux version.

Compared to the Windows version of image output, the following restrictions apply:

  • Conversion to monochrome is not supported.
  • Conversion to 256 colors is not supported.

Restrictions

When using the Windows version of Office Server Document Converter, set the Screen Color setting to 32-bit or higher.

OSDC creates pages by reading Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint document files and imitating page layout (formatting). As a result, compatibility with documents created in Microsoft Office can vary depending on the document’s content.

The page layout of the generated PDF may differ from that of Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. We recommend testing with the evaluation version to confirm that the output meets your requirements.

Some restrictions apply to image conversion. For details, please refer to Image Output in the online manual.
